Professor Dr. Jan Lüttringhaus joins Principle Drafting Committee of the international Project

Professor Dr. Jan Lüttringhaus joins Principle Drafting Committee of the international Project “Transnational Insurance Law: Principles of Reinsurance Contract Law (PRICL)”

The Principles of Reinsurance Contract Law (PRICL)-Project has been established and is headed and coordinated by Prof. Helmut Heiss, Prof. Anton K. Schnyder (both University of Zurich), Prof. Martin Schauer (University of Vienna) and Prof. Manfred Wandt (University of Frankfurt am Main). The Principles Drafting Committee is made up of academics from countries with leading insurance sectors and representing as many legal systems in the world as possible. The Committee is advised by an Advisory Group Reinsurers and an Advisory Group Direct Insurers.

The PRICL-Project is sponsored by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF), the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) and the German Research Foundation (DFG).

The PRICL have been recommended for inclusion in the Work Programme of The International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT). Version 1.0 of the Principles of Reinsurance Contract Law is available here:
