Many major insurance firms are located in Hannover, and the university has a long tradition in research and teaching in this field.
The interdisciplinary House of Insurance (HoI) at Leibniz University Hannover was founded in 2018, integrates scientific expertise in economics, mathematics, and law, and cooperates intensively with the local insurance industry.
